Recreate your favourite dishes from Liverpool restaurants this lockdown.
We are all craving eating somewhere besides whatever concoction we’ve made and devoured at our dining table or lap. Eating out was amazing and we’ve had a taste for it and we want it back. Especially as it is more exciting than the same old dishes four nights in a row. Luckily, Liverpool restaurants have adapted and are bringing some their flavours that we miss so much to our door in the form of kits and heat at home packages, that include everything to recreate their meals at home. Here are just some of the best lockdown kits you can try in Liverpool.
1. Rosa’s Thai Cafe
Providing comforting Thai food for us to enjoy at home (without hopelessly trying to cook up your own dish), Rosa’s Thai Cafe are offering Pad Thai kits for the November lockdown, with literally every ingredient you’ll need to create yourself a bowl. Not only that, but there’ll be a Thai green curry box, too, both of which will be available to order from November 11th.
With Belzan at Home, you can order starters, mains and desserts for delivery and collection in order to enjoy some amazing restaurant quality food from one of Smithdown Road’s best restaurants. The Toxteth restaurant also stocks a range of produce and plenty of wines on their online store here. All store items are available for collection (12-6pm) or delivery (12-2pm) Thursday-Saturday. Starters start from £4, main courses from £10, sides from £4.50 and desserts from £2.50. They even have a breakfast pack which includes extra thick bacon, Toulouse sausages, black pudding and beans.
3. Lu Ban
Lu Ban Restaurant has launched a new online service, Lu Ban Kitchen, which offers a range of its Chinese dishes that are prepared by the Lu Ban team, before being shipped to customers across the UK in sustainable food-friendly packaging to heat at home. The ‘Heat-at-Home’ menu features 12 regional Chinese specialities, each main serves two people and all of the dishes can be stored in the fridge for up to three days. A selection of dishes are also available on the Lu Ban Dim Sum menu, while the website is also home to the popular Lu Ban Cooks boxes priced at £10 and you can even create your own.
4. Two Cents Pizza
Allowing customers to try their own hand at pizza making, Two Cents Pizza is delivering DIY lockdown kits including ready-proofed dough, tomato sauce, cheese and, of course, the all important cooking instructions. It’s the perfect way to have the fresh-out-of-the-oven experience at home while the restaurant is closed – and you can take all the credit. Win-win. The kits make pizza for two, and can be ordered via their Instagram page costing up to £10.95. You can choose from a margherita, pepperoni or sweet pizza kit, as well as a garlic bread kit.
