Scenes similar to Chernobyl have been spotted around Liverpool since the Government advised us Brits to stay at home.
For a place with a population of almost a million, it’s a pretty rare to see this city become a complete ghost town. Abandoned by many, other than those who are still required to work outside of home such as shop/retail workers and those working in health and medical care, Liverpool has been looking far from its usual self during lockdown.
Usually packed places such as the Royal Albert Dock, Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre and Matthew Street have appeared completely deserted, as the city does its bit to keep their fellow Scousers safe and well. Here’s some super eerie photos of a temporarily empty Liverpool city centre.
1. Georgian Quarter
2. Bold Street
3. Abercromby Square
4. Cains Brewery
5. Hope Street
6. Liverpool ONE Shopping Centre
7. Lime Street Station
8. Town Hall
9. Matthew Street
10. Royal Albert Dock
We couldn’t resist a few more empty and eerie photos down by the docks.
