With all the Christmas markets, festive cocktails and fun themed outings, it can be easy to forget what Christmas is all about: bringing people together. However, the owners behind Catherine Braidy Cake Parlour have this notion front of mind at their boutique cafe on Aigburth Road.
This Christmas Day, the owners of the cafe will be opening their doors between 10 am and 1 pm, welcoming all with a smile as “nobody should have to be alone [at Christmas],” they said. Not only can you expect a good natter, but there’ll be a free hot drink and Danish pastry each, plus plenty of festive tunes. The owners will be joined by their families, so it will be a rather jolly atmosphere all round.
This year isn’t the first time the cake parlour has opened its doors on December 25. Back in 2019, the owners did the same thing after noticing their patrons liked to come in for a chat. The South Liverpool cafe is known for its bright pink exterior and fine sweet treats; their delicious tray bakes and fluffy cakes are all baked on site, and there are even vegan options too. So, if you’re at a loose end on Christmas morning, why not head down for an uplifting and tasty festive treat?
Catherine Braidy Cake Parlour is located at 262 Aigburth Road, Liverpool, L17 9PJ.
