1. Maray
These wooden booths at Maray make for the perfect al fresco spot this winter –whether you fancy a wintery drink or feast they’re available to book for you and your friends. The booths take cosy to the next level, too, with vines climbing the sides of the booths, as well as heaters, to provide a festive ambience. This cosy, outdoor set up is only available at their Albert Dock branch. Enjoy their latest winter on the cocktail, ‘Barefoot to Dundee’, which provides all the Christmas feels by combining Baileys and Toblerone together as you look across the water.

2. FIVE
Escape the cold by snuggling up in one of FIVE’s alpine lodges this festive season. Choose from five of their winter huts or lodges hidden up on the rooftop of the Liverpool bar, each with their own Bluetooth speakers. Enjoy a winter wonderland escape at FIVE which transports you into an elegant and cosy world decked in comfy armchairs and sofas, fleecy blankets and Christmas lighting. Peek through the lodge window for an unreal view of the city with Liverpool Cathedral as the focal point with a winter cocktail in hand. But be quick to book for the weekend as these rooftop lodges have limited availability.

3. Birdies
Birdies saw success both this year and last with their Halloween-themed huts and are now back for Christmas, with their festive lodges and covered terrace taking centre stage. Complete with heating, fairy lights and Santa Coors Christmas bar and light experience, Birdies is the perfect spot for some food and cocktails to get you in the festive mood. Serving unreal cocktails from Birdies’ egg nog and bellinis to boozy hot chocolates or Paddy’s Seasonal Shake featuring whiskey, Malibu, Baileys, raspberry, gingerbread and cream, they’re bound to warm you up. 4. The Club House
Revamping their fabulous alfresco space with a festive flair for winter, The Club House has gone all out this winter with their Black Forest lodges, including stunning fairy lights and mini fires to keep guests warm and festive in the colder months. Guests can enjoy gorgeous food such as fondue. hanging kebabs or chocolate orange cookie dough, alongside fizz, mulled wine, warm spiced cider or whatever tickles your tastebuds. To secure your Black Forest lodge booking, guests must pay £7.95 per person and will receive a Monkey 47 cocktail on arrival.

5. Liberté
A magical spot to visit all year round, Liberté boasts some of the best views in the city, such as the Liver Building in the background, and this year you can enjoy that luxury in an extra cosy environment, specially created for the winter months. Liberté’s winter village will be bigger and better this year with 16 private hire chalet style lodges, food stalls and ‘The Shack’, a VIP Lodge which can be hired out for the entire evening with a food and drinks package. Dine on beautifully presented meals in their gorgeous winter village huts – which provide an extra layer of refuge from the chilly weather, with heating within each lodge and beautiful decorations on the doors as well as twinkling fairy lights to provide lovely scenery. 6. Backyard
The bar known for their purple bin-filled boozy slushies is bringing après ski vibes this winter with their three brand new unique chalets at the front of the bar. If we can’t afford to hit the slopes during the cold months, then we can at least put our feet up in one of Backyard’s lodges and sip on their ski-inspired cocktails, including one named ‘Get Piste’ and one dedicated to stupid sexy Flanders off of ‘The Simpsons’. The ‘Hidey-ho-ho-ho-neighbourino’ cocktail has become the talk of the town and features the likes of gin, blackberry and pomegranate. 7. Bar Hütte
Right in the heart of the city, underneath the huge Christmas tree at Liverpool One, Bar Hütte has arrived, with a wonderful new winter wonderland for Liverpudlians to enjoy. Bringing ski village vibes to the shopping area, guests will be able to book out their very own private ‘hutte’. Not only that, but it’s the perfect excuse to escape the chill, too, with some fantastic festive-themed drinks including hot gin, mulled wine and Irish hot chocolates on offer. Soak up the Christmassy atmosphere and try the famous ‘Bombardino’ – which is provided complimentary for all hutte bookings. And Bar Hütte haven’t forgotten the much-loved karaoke sessions, either, with each hutte coming complete with its very own machine loaded up with the best festive hits.
