With one bank holiday down, we can’t wait for the next ones to come, including the bank holiday weekend to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Adding to the bank holiday excitement is Summer in the Square, an outdoor food and drink market, which is returning to Liverpool city centre this summer and will boast live entertainment, DJs, cocktails, pizza and more to make for a fun day or night over the long weekend.
Located at Exchange Flags, the area will be transformed for Summer in the Square with the addition of faux grass, tables and benches, a canopy covering and atmospheric lighting. The Jubilee street party event will be running every day of the bank holiday weekend (Thursday 2nd June to Sunday 5th June), 12 noon to 9pm.
Guests can expect plenty of live entertainment, jazz and acoustic music and cocktails, as well as a range of drinks and street food, making it an outdoor event that you certainly don’t want to miss. The music and entertainment line-up has been announced and features the likes of local band The Kites, sax player Jesus Martin, acoustic singers Owen Brown and Andy Hodgson, as well as live DJs spinning the decks to help get you in the mood to celebrate Queeny’s Jubilee.
No tickets will be required and Summer in the Square at Exchange Flags will be open for walk-ins only throughout the bank holiday weekend.
