There’s even a jacuzzi on this terrace.
It seems flowers aren’t the only things popping up in the city this spring as Liverpool is about to get an exciting new bar with a rooftop terrace. Launching in April, the Aintree Gin Sky Bar is set to open just in time as more restrictions start to ease.
The brand new bar serving gin as their main speciality will be located on the rooftop of the Shankly Hotel on Victoria Street. This rooftop terrace with panoramic views of Liverpool is expected to open from April 12 and will host its first event on April 18, with Radio City presenter, Leanne Campbell.
The Liverpool gin brand, which is based near Aintree Racecourse, launched back in November 2019 and offers their own traditional London Dry gin as well as fun fruity flavours such as kiwi, grapefruit and wild apple. And it’s likely you’ll find all these gins up on their rooftop terrace this spring.
The Aintree Gin Sky Bar will have three levels, including a VIP section which will feature table service, a pool and jacuzzi and amazing views. Plus, if you choose to go all out with a VIP ticket, you can also receive discounts on the Shankly Hotel and enjoy plenty of gin and rosé.
When the pandemic hit, Aintree Gin began producing hand sanitiser, when there were massive shortages around the country. They turned their distillery into a 24-hour hand sanitiser production operation plant to supply NHS departments and nursing homes, donating hundreds of bottles to Aintree, Broadgreen, The Royal and Women’s hospitals.
The gin company also showed their generosity and goodwill during hard times not only providing sanitiser spray refill dispensers in Aintree’s Asda supermarket, but it also gave free drinks to couples getting married during the pandemic too.
The sky bar is expected to open in Liverpool from April 12 when outdoor dining for bars and restaurants will be permitted. You can find more info on drinks packages and events at the Aintree Gin Sky Bar here.
