Enjoy tapas on the terrace Español style.
While the past year has absolutely been a complete shit show – to put it nicely – there has been a kind of silver lining to it all: Liverpool’s brand new outdoor terraces. Blessing the city with a Mediterranean approach to dining, a proportion of Liverpool’s restaurants were granted permission to extend their premises across the streets – providing a certain community vibe that suited the Scouse ethos perfectly. It was sociable, and more importantly COVID-safe, and now, Scousers are going to get the opportunity to experience it all over again.
Joining an ever-growing number of city-centre restaurants, El Gato Negro has confirmed their reopening for April 12th – with a wonderful ‘tapas on the terrace’ for guests to enjoy.
Providing an open-air dining experience on their suntrap of a terrace, located at the front of the restaurant, the much-loved Spanish restaurant will serve a specially curated tapas menu of signature dishes to enjoy, with their terrace bar also open for the occasion.
Running for five weeks only, guests will be able to enjoy customer-favourite dishes such as Catalan chorizo, tiger prawns, patatas bravas and more, with a selection of delectable desserts also on offer.
If that wasn’t all, El Gato Negro will operate a bottle shop throughout the pop-up terraces duration, allowing customers to take home some of their specially selected wines that the restaurant has become well-loved for.
The restaurant hopes to bring a little bit of Spanish sunshine along with them for the occasion, however, of course, nice weather in Liverpool is hardly guaranteed, so guests are invited to bring their own blankets or take advantage of the parasols and patio heaters provided if needed. Bookings are open now and you can find out more here. ‘Tapas on the Terrace’ will take place on their outdoor terrace at the front of the restaurant, with their indoor dining reopening in May.
