Everything’s coming up rosés.
As summertime starts to draw to a close so does Royal Albert Dock’s Great British Seaside summer campaign, but before we retreat back indoors and wait for the next sunny day to arrive the Liverpool dock is hosting a final hurrah this August bank holiday weekend. Royal Albert Dock will be putting the spotlight on the drink of the summer and one of our favourite tipples by celebrating all things rosé between August 27 and 30.
From specially-created rosé cocktails and a pop-up Spritz bar, to a Mexican-inspired rosé sangria brunch and even a frosé afternoon tea, the waterfront will be the perfect place to soak up the last of the summer sun with a chilled glass of the pink stuff. Everything’s coming up rosés this bank holiday!
Hit up Anchor Countryard’s Madre for a lively bank holiday brunch where it’ll be served with a choice of bottomless drinks including a fruity rosé sangria, frosé cocktail, or one of their four natural Province Rosés available as specials for the weekend, for £25 per person. Or you can make a pitstop at Madre’s Tacoway Truck which is offering refreshing frosé slushies to partner with its famous tacos. Pick up a frosé and guacamole-topped tortilla chips for a tasty snack on the go, or a portion of freshly made tacos packed with tasty fillings like succulent slow-cooked pork belly and crispy fried chicken thighs.
Going bottomless doesn’t have to be just about brunch because Peaberry Coffee House is serving a frosé bottomless afternoon tea, and it’s only available from Friday to Sunday so get booking ASAP. Sample a selection of sandwiches including smashed avocado, red pepper and peas; or smoked salmon with cucumber and cream cheese; freshly-baked scones; hazelnut and blackberry eclairs; and Victoria sponge, with bottomless frosé for an indulgent afternoon treat.
Top Middle Eastern restaurant Maray will also be making rosé its star attraction for the weekend, with a specially-created Rosé Spritz and Rosé Margarita, featuring sparkling rosé prosecco and natural rosé from Liverpool-based Legs Wine. Pair one of these divine drinks with a white chocolate and cardamom cheesecake with pistachio, pomegranate and rosé gel for a delicious rosé double.
Can’t get enough of frosé? Neither can we! Luckily, a slushy machine is being installed at One O’Clock Gun for the weekend to keep the frosé cocktails coming. Plus, Gusto will be joining in by serving a sparkling frosé made by its own in-house mixologists, combining Gusto Pinot Grigio Rosé, Beefeater pink gin, lemon, strawberry purée, strawberry syrup and apple juice, topped off with Rosé prosecco.
Just further along Britannia Pavilion, PanAm will also be taking its rosés dockside with a dedicated pop-up bar serving everyone’s refreshing Rosé Spritz cocktails from 5pm on Friday through to bank holiday Monday. So, for all things rosé and frosé, Royal Albert Dock is the go-to destination this bank holiday.
