Founded by Alina and Cedric in 2023, Mondego Outlet began with a vision to shake up the furniture shopping experience amidst the challenges due to economic uncertainties. Realising the growing popularity of selling stoneware ceramics by weight in countries such as Spain and Portugal, Alina and Cedric therefore thought it was a great concept to bring to the UK market.
In June 2023, the outlet, which is located near Chester Racecourse, received their first container of over 10,000 kilos of outlet stoneware ceramics. The high-quality ceramics that Mondego Outlet stocks come directly from Portuguese factories and were originally crafted for major brands, but have gone on to find new homes with restauranteurs, coffee shop owners, interior designers, food photographers and home-owners alike.
The ceramics available at Mondego Outlet are mainly stunning dinnerware like plates, bowls, mugs, espresso cups, saucers, butter dishes and egg cups all in a range of shapes, sizes and designs. A lot of the stoneware ceramics at the Chester outlet are significantly discounted compared to their recommended retail price (RRP), so perfect if you’re buying in bulk.
When placed on the scales, ceramics are priced around £5.50 per kilogram and to think that some shops charge that price or more for just one single plate or mug, it means you’re saving quite a few pennies there!
