Boxpark in Shoreditch and Croydon is an all-singing, all-dancing venue with entertainment at every turn and we’ll soon have that ourselves at Boxpark Liverpool! This place will have the biggest buzz, hosting huge events and vendors selling the most delectable bites.
As of January 31, Boxpark Liverpool officially has permission to begin construction and we can’t wait for it to open! Boxpark Liverpool will open later this year and if its cousins in London are anything to go by then this place will make a huge splash in Liverpool’s culinary and music scenes.
If you’ve got a picky partner or you yourself are picky about what foods you eat then this place is perfect. You can choose between a whole roster of vendors and eat what you want when you want. So if you want tacos and your other half wants curry, there’s no need to worry!
Boxpark Liverpool has a whopping fifteen-year lease at Cains Brewery Village in the Baltic Triangle so it’s safe to say that they intend to stay in the city. There will be several floors and this place is known in London for hosting the biggest events. In fact, one of our writers saw Stormzy himself at one of the London venues.
It’s costing £3.5m, with the promise of up to 150 new jobs and you just know that people will be visiting in droves. Boxpark Liverpool will be able to hold up to 600 covers and the garden will span 5,430 sq. ft.
It’s the first Boxpark outside of London! CEO Simon Champion commented: “We are delighted to receive the news today that Boxpark Liverpool has planning approval as our team has put a lot of work into bringing the Canning Hall at Cains Brewery back to life. We’re very excited to bring jobs, and a lot of fun, to the Baltic Triangle which we see as an area with great prospects over the next few years”
Additionally, Managing Director Harj Dusanj had this to say: “Today marks an exciting day for Cains Brewery Village with the planning approval of Boxpark Liverpool. It takes a village to nurture the regeneration of Cains Brewery and we are thankful for all parties that have worked hard to make this next chapter a truly exciting one. The inward investment into Liverpool is a testament to our home of pioneering creatives that continue to echo the entrepreneurial spirit of Robert Cain.”
Our fantastic Secret London team have been raving about this place for what seems like forever and now Boxpark Liverpool will bring a burst of vibrancy to the city, showing things like the World Cup and the Euros on the big screen. We can’t wait!
