Christmas in Liverpool is a dream, with the city coming to life with sparkling lights for the season. And to get us further into the festive spirit, a brand new Winter Festival is coming to the city’s waterfront this November!
Organised by Crow Leisure Group, the Winter Festival is taking place at Pier Head in Liverpool between November 21 and January 5, 2026. The family-run business has created some of the UK’s largest festive events, including Christmas villages, ice rinks, themed attractions and funfairs.
Liverpool Winter Festival at Pier Head is hosting the usual Christmas delights like comfort street food, local traders, large-scale rides, live music and seasonal drinks. What is more, the organisers are bringing a massive 600 square meter real ice rink, ready for visitors to glide through the season.

Other highlights of the Liverpool Winter Festival include a 65-meter Star Flyer, ready to take guests on a sky-high ride in the brisk Merseyside air.
Moreover, the little ones can not only meet Santa himself this year, but also say hello to the Grinch, as two themed grottos are popping up in the festive village – Santa’s Storytime Grotto and the GRINCHMAS Grotto Takeover.
Visitors will also be able to book Luxe Dome Pods for up to 12 people, with heating, comfortable seating and access to music. While it costs £250 to book, the money transforms into a bar tab later used for food and drinks.

Alex and Kennedy Crow, Managing Directors of Crow Leisure Group, said: “Liverpool’s waterfront has always been the city’s stage, and this winter we want to bring it to life in a way that feels exciting, welcoming and unmistakably Liverpool.”
“As parents ourselves, we know how much families value experiences like this, but we’ve created the festival for everyone, from couples and groups of friends to visitors who just want to soak up the atmosphere. You can come down for a walk and a drink, go skating, or bring the kids to see Santa. It’s about creating something the whole city can enjoy together.”

Kennedy added: “This is a big moment for Liverpool. The Pier Head is already a place people are proud of, and this gives it a new life for Christmas. We want it to feel inclusive and full of character – somewhere people of all ages can enjoy, come back to and make part of their own Christmas traditions.”
Liverpool Winter Festival is located at The Pier Head, and is free to enter, open from Friday, November 21 until Monday, January 5, 2026. The festival opening hours are from 1pm until 10.30pm Monday to Friday, and from 11am until 10.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Between Friday, December 19 and Thursday, January 1, it will be open daily from 11am until 10.30pm, and closed on Christmas Day.
