There is something truly magical about a day out to the ice rink during Christmastime: the joy of little ones making friends with their ice-skating penguins, crying with laughter when your mate loses their balance, the feeling of seamlessly gliding, watching the world go by. Liverpool is officially getting its first ice rink in BOXPARK this November, with its IceBox lasting into the new year. A new artist impression was released today (November 6), portraying what the ice rink will look like.
IceBox is taking over the new street food and entertainment spot in the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool, BOXPARK, this Christmas, with an intimate ice rink complimented by the soft glow of festive lights and decorations, entertainment and plenty of activities for the whole family. The experience is opening its doors on November 22 and staying until January 5, 2025, giving skaters plenty of time to go more than once.
The ice rink is nestled in Cains Brewery estate, just opposite BOXPARK Liverpool. On top of ice skating, guests will be treated to festive-themed live entertainment, DJs, hosts competitions, and dance-offs (yes, on skates!) and activities, as well as plenty of street food, winter cocktails and mulled wine.
Open daily until 11pm, visitors can embark on a 45-minute ice skating session, with adult tickets costing £15 and children go for just £5.
BOXPARK Liverpool General Manager Joel Lee said: “I am really excited to be a part of something special in Liverpool this winter, as we launch our own festive ice-skating destination in the Baltic Triangle!
It’s always been a favourite family activity of mine so it’s a pleasure to be able to create a pop-up ice rink here at BOXPARK Liverpool and bring a magical winter experience for everyone. We can’t wait to welcome guests to come and enjoy a festive tradition alongside some great street food and an amazing winter events schedule.”
You can book your IceBox ice rink tickets on the BOXPARK Liverpool website.
