Swifties are uniting from all around the UK ready for Taylor Swift to take over Liverpool next week, but the three concerts is not the only reason the city had Miss Amercana’s attention. Well, Liverpool starred in the new Taylor Swift music video for the song I Can See You, showing off the beauty of its architecture.
A film crew took over part of the Cunard building and other spots in Liverpool this April, featuring crew members from Liverpool Film Office’s training programme. As a result, programme graduates who faced long-term unemployment got a chance to work on a global-scale project thanks to the Taylor Siwft music video in Liverpool.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle said: “For Taylor Swift to choose Liverpool, a UNESCO, music city, as the location to film I Can See You is monumental and once again puts the city on the international screen.
“This project, like many others that come through the Film Office, championed all that we have to offer for film and TV in the region and provided fantastic opportunities to local people and companies.
“Thanks to the world-class training, local people have been able to gain invaluable experience, working on high end productions and now have the skills to go on and work on film and TV projects in the future.
“With our stunning locations it’s easy to see why Taylor Swift chose Liverpool as the location to create her latest music video, in which she has written, directed and starred – the city is equally proud to host. We cannot wait to welcome Taylor and her team back here next year for her three tour dates at Anfield!”
