The festive season is officially kicking off this Saturday (November 15), with the Liverpool Christmas market and the Liverpool ONE toy parade. Guests will be treated with massive toys, festive characters, music and special visitors.
The toy parade is taking place on Saturday, November 15 at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm at Liverpool ONE, and is hosted by outdoor arts specialists, and in partnership with charity that supports terminally ill babies, children and young adults – Claire House. The outdoor arts specialists, Walk the Plank, are bringing dancing toys, glittering decorations, and shimmering lights, as well as star appearances from some of the region’s most talented youngsters!
Jennifer Hanley, a fundraiser at Claire House, said: “As Liverpool ONE’s Charity of the Year, we are very excited to be involved in the Toy Parade. Some of the children who come to the hospice have made their own decorations and can’t wait to show them off.”
“Any awareness raised, both from the event and throughout the partnership, will help us reach more local babies, children and young adults who need our support from our sites in Liverpool and Wirral.”
During the Christmas season, Liverpool ONE is also hosting a myriad of activities, including Festive Thursdays, a Christmas Trail, a Big Advent Giveaway and the chance to post letters to Santa. What is more, the Alpine bar Bar Hutte is open now, filled with festive treats, live music and karaoke.
