It’s his second venue in Liverpool.
Following the success of Gino D’Acampo’s My Restaurant Liverpool on Castle Street, beloved TV chef D’Acampo has teamed up with INNSiDE Liverpool on a brand new Italian dining experience – which opened this September.
The restaurant forms part of a new, exclusive partnership between INNSiDE by Meliá, part of Spain’s largest hotel group Meliá Hotels International. Known as Gino D’Acampo Old Hall Street, it brings a further touch of style to the city, serving Mediterranean cuisine and premium drinks in a chic and contemporary setting.
The new opening features a beautiful, open-plan 200-cover restaurant, an impressive open theatre style kitchen, two private dining rooms, and a 60-cover long bar within the hotel’s impressive open bar and lounge, for both hotel and restaurant guests to enjoy. It also promises to be one of the city’s most desirable locations, with local resident DJ’s further elevating the atmosphere from day to night.
If that wasn’t all, there’s also be a new 360-degree sky bar run by the Gino D’Acampo team and situated on the top floor of the hotel. The sky bar boasts a huge contemporary terrace featuring unrivalled views over Liverpool and the River Mersey.
Located on the 18th floor of the impressive new hotel, the 360 Sky Bar promises to be one of the most coveted venues upon launch, providing enviable panoramic views of the city and beyond. On a clear day guests can expect to see as far as the Welsh mountains, with all of the city’s famous landmarks in spectacularly sharp focus.
A first look at the menu of the beautiful 100-cover venue reveals a cocktail list that will have you lusting for the weekend or an indulgent after work drink, complemented by an inviting list of Italian small plates, Cicchetti, perfect for date nights, an indulgent bite over business, or enjoyed with family and friends.
Created by Gino’s expert team of mixologists, cocktail enthusiasts will find an impressive mix of classic and signature Sky Bar drinks available, including a Bellini; Aperol spritz; Hugo spritz – a blend of Fiorente elderflower, lime, mint and Prosecco; Negroni ‘Sbagliato’ – Campari with Cocchi Vermouth di Torino and Prosecco; and the Italian chef’s own personal favourite, a Negroni. There will also be an extensive selection of wine, sparkling wine and champagne to complement the menu, all selected by the 360 Sky Bar’s sommeliers, alongside a generous range of spirits and artisan Italian beers.
The Cicchetti menu may, by nature, be built around small plates, but they promise to make a big impression. Split into five sections – stuzzichini, pesche, carne, vegetariani, and dolci, the list is impressive. Signature dishes include scallops, vermouth, lemon and parsley; salmon tartare, avocado, chilli and capers; burrata panzanella (v); and pork belly, radicchio and hazelnuts amongst others.
For those looking for a light accompaniment to their drink, guests can enjoy a little taste of Italy with Gino’s Cerignola olives, freshly baked Italian breads and basil pesto dip, and a selection of Italian bruschetta. All baked items are made from scratch and using the finest hand-picked ingredients by Gino’s in-house team of pastry chefs and bakers.
Guests with a sweet tooth and in search of an afternoon treat enjoyed with a classic Neapolitan coffee can enjoy a panna cotta with blackberries and honeycomb, bombolini (Italian doughnuts), affogato or Gino’s own personal favourite, tiramisù.
