Fire dancers, walking on hot coal and all things flaming are taking over Liverpool this weekend and next week, inviting Liverpudlians for a unique outing to Albert Dock. Fiesta of Fire is bringing hot performances to the city’s waterfront this weekend and next week, lighting up the dark nights.
Royal Albert Dock is set once again to host the return of the flaming Fiesta of Fire, taking place across half-term from February 15 to 22. Guests can expect a family-friendly event, with free fire shows, performances and a thrilling fire walk, all taking place in front of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Building illuminated in red.
On Saturday and Sunday will see daytime shows at 2pm from an internationally-renowned street performer. The evenings are reserved for Logy on Fire, a brand new addition to this year, bringing a fire and light show from Bring the Fire Project at 6:30pm.
What is more, Bring the Fire is available to see on the launch weekend plus Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 6:30pm.
From 90s raves and Spanish tango to Kung Fu Fighting and a majestic finale, the 20-minute show will take audiences on an adventure around the world. The performance involves fire acts, choreographed dancing and jaw-dropping pyro-skills, such as fire-throwing, flaming sword fights and more.
It is also the second year in a row that the adrenaline-inducing fire walk is returning, offering an exciting opportunity for the public to brave the hot embers with the “art of fire walking” on Thursday, February 22 as quite the culmination of the festival.
Adventurers looking to try it out for themselves and test their limits and capabilities will “endure temperatures of more than 1200°C, with only 80 spaces available on a first-come-first-serve basis”. You can book your spot here.
Fiesta of Fire is taking place between February 15 and 22 in front of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Building and is free to attend for the public.
