There will also be music, doughnuts, Tango Ice Blasts and more.
It might feel like an age since The Great British Bake Off (GBBO) was on our screens, as it was back when we were deep in a second lockdown. Another lockdown and easing of some restrictions since, one Liverpool street food market has decided to celebrate it’s fourth birthday with a pop-up bakery themed around the popular cookery programme, including a guest from the series.
Baltic Market is hosting a five day fiesta from June 30 to July 4 to thank its visitors, with each day featuring plenty of events such as a pop-up bakery and even some freebies. On June 30, the first 100 guests will be given a free glass of fizz on arrival, and the first 100 visiting the following days (July 1-4) will receive a free can of Moritz.
The market will have live music and DJs all weekend-long, each night a different theme- Friday (July 2) night will be a disco, Saturday (July 3) will have live music all day and Sunday will have live music focusing on soul (July 4). Baltic Market will also be welcoming back old and new musicians who have graced their stage many times.
Their birthday celebrations will also be the chance to introduce their street food trader, Bubba’s Trap Kitchen, who serve boxed delights such as their ultimate Bubba’s Box that features lobster tail, bang bang prawns, mac and cheese, corn on the cob, plus a a melt in the mouth Kinder Bueno waffle.
Drinks wise, Baltic Market has its fridge stocked up with cans from Chapter Brewing, Black Lodge Brewery, Neptune, Carnival, Glen Africa and more. Plus, they’ve just installed a Tango Ice Blast machine, with boozy options of the colourful drink available too!
To top it off, Baltic Market will be hosting its GBBO pop-up bakery on July 4, featuring everyone’s favourite Northern Irish baker extraordinaire, Mark Lutton. The baker, who was on Great British Bake Off last year, will be launching the pop-up bakery, known as Roles and Holes, with freshly baked cinnamon rolls and donuts- and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
With the market down in the Baltic Triangle unable to celebrate their third birthday last year, they are celebrating their third and fourth together- so it’s going to be a big one. Plus, it’s free entry and no ticket required.
Also to celebrate, Baltic Market is running an Instagram giveaway where one lucky group of six will win the ultimate Baltic Market experience. The prize will include fizz and Vimto Gin Slush on arrival, £200 to spend on any of our eight food traders and espresso martinis by Press Bros Coffee to finish.
Baltic Market will open to celebrate Wednesday and Thursday 5pm-10pm, Friday 12pm-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm, Sunday 11am-10pm.
