1. Aber Falls

Aber Falls in Wales has an impressive drop of 120 feet, just under a two-hour drive from Liverpool. The walk itself is short and sweet, boasting majestic views of the waterfall cascading over a rock.

2. Swallow Falls

Another great location worthy of a spot on our waterfalls near Liverpool list is the Swallow Falls, also known as Rhaeadr Ewynnol in Snowdonia, Wales, located two hours from Liverpool. Known as one of the most beautiful waterfalls out there, it has been featured on films, such as ‘Wonder Woman’ (1984) and the animated feature ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs’. Admiring the waterfall from the foot of the Northern bank rather than the Southern bank, even though the Southern bank is more convenient for parking.

3. Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall

Okay, so it costs 50p to go see Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall, but we promise it’s worth it. Located around an hour from Liverpool, the waterfall is as majestic as it gets, boasting a tall cascade. Plus, there is a trail behind the falls, as well as a cafe and toilets. Those wanting to make it into a proper day out can also explore the nearest village via the Dyserth-Prestatyn walkway or join the Dyserth Circular walk.

4. Ingleton Waterfalls

Those who enjoy woodland walks will love the Ingleton Waterfalls trail, just two hours from Liverpool. Open all year round, visitors can marvel at four miles of oak trees and the Yorkshire Dales. The trail has been super popular since opening in 1885, with record visits of 35,000 people in a single day in 1888.

5. Wepre Park
Located just 45 minutes from Liverpool, Wepre Park boasts a fantastic day out without having to drive far. Moreover, the waterfall is man-made and was created by Victorian residents to help generate electricity for the Old Hall.
