What if we told you there is a wholesome place near Liverpool where you can not only indulge in fresh, homemade goodies and produce, but also find a stunning tulip field? All that and more can be found at Benty Farm Tearooms, where a charming farm setting will set your soul free from the busy city life for a day.
Benty Farm Tearooms offers seasonal homemade food and baked goods with views over Thurstaston Common, located just half an hour from Liverpool. Whether visitors are just after a cup of coffee or want to indulge in an afternoon tea, the tearoom offers a quirky space for locals and visitors to unwind and catch up with their loved ones, with both indoor and outdoor seats available.
Those looking to pick their own fruits, vegetables and flowers in the field can do so based on the time of year, with options such as tulips in the spring, strawberries and raspberries in the summer, sunflowers in August, pumpkins in the autumn, and Christmas trees in December. The pumpkin patch is also an alluring attraction in the lead-up to Halloween, with lots of guests delighting in a little family day out in the countryside.
Guests can explore the farm while picking their own fruits, vegetables, and flowers. However, everyone is advised not to eat anything straight from the field without washing it. As the spring season is upon us, visitors can soon pick their own tulips on the farm, making for a wholesome family day out in the tulip field.
When will the tulip field open at Benty Farm for 2026?
As the earliest crop of the season, raspberries and strawberries are usually available to pick during April, with 40 varieties at £1 a stem. And we have good news for you – the Early Bird tickets are already out, and it’s for April 18! You can book them here.
Keep in mind these are still open-dated, as the opening dates will depend on the crop of the year. The crop is also set to run into May.
Next up, pick-your-own raspberries and strawberries in the summer, followed by a massive sunflower field in August.
What is more, guests are always advised to check in advance before making the trip, as sometimes the field is closed due to weather conditions. Visitors should also take note that dogs are not allowed onto the field, but the tearoom is dog-friendly.
