The Jazz Room: A Journey to the Heart of New Orleans
How did jazz even become a thing? Well, it all started in New Orleans at the turn of the 20th century, a melting pot of cultures, where African rhythms and call-and-response songs mingled with European harmonies and Caribbean beats. From this vibrant mix emerged a sound like no other. Ever since those early days, jazz has always been about freedom and breaking boundaries.
“The Jazz Room” in Liverpool pays homage to this rich history, blending familiar favourites with spontaneous improvisations that will make your jaw drop. Hear echoes of jazz legends like Fats Waller when they play “Ain’t Misbehavin’”, or when they croon “Georgia On My Mind”.
