A beachside bus bar has returned to Crosby Marina once more this summer, bringing plenty of fun to this Liverpool area. And it’s the kind of bus you will definitely catch us running for! The pop-up food and drink venue, The Bus Yard, which operates from a double decker bus, announced in April that it would be heading back to the coast this spring and summer. So now we can all enjoy a tipple with sunset beach views without having to hop on a plane!
Sefton Council gave the bar permission to open at the beach the summer before last to see if visitors would be interested in more permanent refreshment offers at the popular spot. And low and behold beachside drinks are back once again!
The Bus Yard is expected to be bigger and better this time around; a year into a three-year agreement from the council which allows the double decker bus bar to pitch up on the beach between the months of April and September.
The Bus Yard is also parked up in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle hosting music events and providing plenty of food and drink at Cain’s Brewery Village.
The outdoor space has a fully licensed mobile bar on the lower deck with a rooftop terrace and kitchen container serving some top notch street food. The converted double decker bus has been known to serve up delicious dishes like Yorkshire pudding wraps.
You’ll also find Greek chicken gyros, crispy duck loaded fries and burgers, as well as beers, cocktails, and other refreshing drinks to sip on this summer. Plus, for all those with a sweet tooth: be prepared for the decadent desserts being served from this bus, including loaded doughnuts topped with the likes of Kinder Bueno and hazelnut buttercream, or Jammy Dodgers with white chocolate ganache.
Alongside their food and drink offerings, The Bus Yard hosts live music and DJs at the yard at Crosby Marina. The bus’s top deck is around 15 feet in the air, meaning it boasts some incredible views of the beach too. This year, they will also be a part of the Eurovision fanpark at Chavasse Park.
