We can expect wintry weather this week and into the weekend, according to the Met Office, with snow already forecast for this evening. They’ve issued a yellow warning for snow and ice from this evening, so be careful if you’re venturing out tonight.
If you had to leave the house for work this morning you’ll have noticed how cold the air was and throughout today it’s going to be pretty nippy. Then, at around 4 pm we could start to see light snow in parts of Liverpool.
The chance of snow only increases over the evening, with the Met Office predicting more snow until around 8 pm. At midnight we could see even more of the stuff and on Tuesday we can expect snow showers from the early hours of the morning until the evening.
Of course, it could always turn out to be sleet but we’re hoping that instead of that sludgy stuff we get a nice flurry. However, Accuweather only predicts about 1 centimetre of snow between now and Wednesday evening. So, it’s highly unlikely that we’ll get a thick layer of the stuff.
There are frosty nights ahead, as temperatures drop from the relatively mild conditions we’ve been seeing of late. So, wrap up warm and brace yourselves for a few nippy evenings in Liverpool.
