March generally bring a few sprinklings of snow, but we could be in for a whole 7 days of it from Sunday onwards as stratospheric warming brings a shower of the white stuff. Sleet is also on the cards.
Several media and weather outlets have predicted snow in the upcoming days for parts of the UK and it looks as though Liverpool is in for some, according to the BBC. It will start with a lovely bit of sleet on March 5 from 6 pm – 8 pm and then again from 9 pm until 12 am. So if you’re off out on Sunday then make sure you wrap up warm. Or don’t bother if you’re Scouse.
On March 6 you might have a sleety walk to work, so wear your proper boots. It will start coming down again between 5 pm and 12 am. Lovely stuff.
then, on March 7, we should finally have some snow, which we all know is far preferable to sleet. heavy snow is forecast to fall between 5 am – 6 am, so you’ll have to get up early to see it. Then the snow will become a little lighter until 9 am.
Sleet’s set to ruin it all after the snow finishes and could fall until 12 pm. March 8 should be another sleet-filled day, with the sludgy stuff falling between 8 pm and 12 am. March 9 will be similar, although at 7 pm light snow could fall for a few hours.
Thereafter, it’s sleet for two days. So make sure to be careful on the roads and don’t slip on your way to work, Liverpudlians, this spring.
