Using neon paints that glow up under UV lights, attendees create their own masterpieces with a paintbrush in one hand and a refreshing drink in the other, because there’s no better way to help your creative juices flow. Paint in the Dark in Liverpool is taking place inside Arts Club, where budding artists and complete beginners will be sipping and painting to their heart’s content. Get creative and let your artistic side shine at these one-of-a-kind art workshops featuring feel-good songs, stellar vibes, and lots of fun.
What is Paint in the Dark?
Over the course of 90 minutes, attendees will be painting away to certified bops under atmospheric UV lights. Neon paints and classical paints will elevate your artwork to new dazzling heights, giving a unique twist to the more traditional art pieces you’d expect to see at Tate Liverpool. One complimentary glass of wine, beer or soft drink will also be provided for when you need to stand back and assess your masterpiece with a drink in hand.

A professional painter will be at the ready to help out and offer some useful painting tips if needed, but feel free to break the rules and push artistic boundaries while you’re there. Who is PITD for?
To put it simply, Paint in the Dark is for everyone. Famous painters like Gerhard Richter and Peter Doig are welcome to come along, but you certainly don’t need to be the next big art prodigy to get stuck in. Go with friends, bring your other half along or enjoy a bit of team building with your work colleagues. It’s all good fun, and you’re welcome to take loads of pictures throughout the experience and take your artwork home with you.
