And all this time I’ve been watching it for free…
We’re not ashamed to say that we’ve found ourselves pretty immersed in all things Love Island this summer. In fact, it’s actually helped our bank balances – giving us an understandable reason to bow out by 9pm in favour of our PJs and the sound of Iain Stirling’s voice booming ‘TONIIIIGHT’. It’s basically an unwritten rule between friends, one that no one can question because, quite frankly, almost everyone has the Love Island bug.
And while all this time we’ve been willingly watching the show for free, entertainment website FandomSpot.com has been on the hunt for a super fan to watch Love Island for actual cash-money. And the best part? No experience is required, other than watching the tele, obviously.
Announcing the new ‘role’ on their website, FandomSpot is searching for their new ‘Love Island Investigator & Editor’, who’ll be responsible for being the eyes and ears on the ground when it comes to all things Love Island. All the winning applicant will have to do is kick back, watch the show, and write about any villa drama as it happens.
While most writing jobs do, of course, require qualifications and experience, FandomSpot has said: “we believe this job is best suited for someone who is a show superfan with that insider knowledge of what fans want to know and read about”.
The ad reads: “Are you a Love Island superfan? Well we’ve got the job for you. We’re excited to announce that we’re looking for FandomSpot.com’s first ‘Love Island Investigator and Editor’ to write about all things that fans might want to know about the hit reality show.
“We can’t get enough of Love Island and we know that you can’t either, with the Love Island fandom growing bigger by the day. So we can cater our content to Love Island fans around the world we’re looking for someone to help us do just that, investigating all of the show’s gossip and reporting on any drama that fans may have missed or are unaware of.”
