
Liverpool is officially the nicest city in the UK, with the majority of Liverpudlians smiling at strangers, opening doors and striking up a conversation.
According to new research by Tim Hortons UK, Liverpool was crowned as the nicest city in the UK, while London was deemed the naughtiest. The research came to celebrate the launch of the “Naughty but Nice” menu, available to only those who showed a little kindness in store. Guests can indulge in new foods like Old Fashioned Glazed Donut Chicken Sandwich, Old Fashioned Glazed Donut Meatless Chicken Sandwich and Cheesy Loaded Timbits.
79% of Scousers are more likely to hold doors open for people, 70% will thank waiting staff, and 66% will say “good morning”.
Unsurprisingly, London was named the naughtiest city in the UK, with almost a third (31%) admitting to ordering a takeaway despite having food in the fridge, making excuses to avoid plans and stay in (28%) and ignoring messages out of laziness while pretending they never saw them (25%).
What is more, Timmy’s wants to encourage a little more kindness, in London and beyond, Tim Hortons UK has also taken its mission online, surprising social media users who’ve shown genuine acts of kindness with free coffees and exclusive food discounts.
