This gin-credible bar will be serving special edition and one-off batches of gin.
With hospitality reopening once again, a G&T is certainly in order, and this brand new gin bar opening in Liverpool is exactly what we need. The creators of the locally-made Murphy’s Gin are opening a new bar in Liverpool – but it’s not the easiest to find.
Murphy’s Gin will be opening their new bar, Murphy’s Distillery, which will be welcoming customers to its outdoor courtyard and seating area from April 17. The family-run business is tucked away in a unit on Regent Road, near Ten Streets Social and the Invisible Wind Factory.
According to one of their latest Instagram posts, Murphy’s Gin said to expect “amazing gins and vodkas distilled by the Murphy’s team” as well as “special editions made in small batches and only available in the bar” and also “one-off gins available every few weeks or so”. And if you’re feeling peckish whilst you sip on that locally-distilled gin, the bar will also play host to a mix of amazing street food vendors, which will be served each weekend with a different menu, starting with The Romans.
Murphy’s Distillery will also provide live entertainment each week with performances from musicians, as well as other events and collaborations with local artists. The bar even plans to offer guided history walks of the Northern docks hosted by local historians.
The new gin bar will be open on Friday evenings and all day Saturday and Sunday, with their courtyard opening first followed by their indoor space later on in May. The distillery’s courtyard is definitely a must-visit if you’re after an outdoor dining spot that involves sipping gin in the sun, but it also has heaters installed because we know how quick the weather can change. Book your spot here.
Murphy’s Gin has also teased on social media some of their cocktails (mainly featuring gin in them, of course) including their on take on a Negroni with the addition of cacao, and a nod to a Tom Collins but with ingredients such as Kaffir lime, sweet eucalyptus and rosemary. The cocktails are inspired by the location of their bar by the docks with some being named after streets or key places that are part of Liverpool’s history.
