Liverpool is a city shaped by innovation and experimentation. Always trying something new, always pushing the boat out. But, as the city knows better than most, creating something powerful often comes with the risk of losing control of it. Arriving in Liverpool as a warning of invention, ambition and the dangerous pursuit of power is the immersive courtroom experience, Frankenstein on Trial: The Man Who Defied God. And honestly, what better place for it than a city that understands both the rewards and consequences that can come with chasing progress at all costs?
But this isn’t the Frankenstein story you think you know. In this reimagined trial, the evidence has changed, the moral questions are darker, and the stakes extend far beyond prison. The case is turned on its head, becoming a dystopian sci-fi courtroom thriller where the audience must decide what justice really means.
What to expect from the new high-stakes version of ‘Frankenstein on Trial’ in Liverpool

This isn’t the original Frankenstein story, but what comes after: a reckoning. Victor Frankenstein is finally put on trial by the creature he created, who demands the world hear his side of the story. But this goes far beyond a typical courtroom drama. In this new version, the court introduces Neurological Dissolution Therapy, a punishment capable of erasing a person’s mind, memories, and identity entirely. The audience are no longer simply deciding whether Frankenstein is guilty. They must decide whether the state should have the power to erase a human mind entirely.
As new forensic evidence and hidden details emerge throughout the trial, jurors are constantly pushed to reassess Frankenstein, question their own judgement and debate where the real line between creator and monster actually sits. Rather than passively watching the story unfold, the audience become directly involved in a tense moral dilemma around justice, scientific ambition and fear.
