The topic of parallel universes has been pondered over by scientists for decades, with no definitive answers so far. Yet, many around the world have reported experiencing glimpses of other worlds, as well as suffering from ‘The Mandela Effect’, vividly remembering Nelson Mandela passing away in prison, even though it never happened.
James Richards was one of the people who experienced such a glimpse in September of 2009, coming across an album from The Beatles that never existed. And, you can still listen to it today! The mysterious man has remained anonymous, using a pseudonym derived from the legal names of Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
The story behind The Beatles ‘Everyday Chemistry’ album
James Richards created a website called thebeatlesneverbrokeup.com, uploading a downloadable version of the ‘Everyday Chemistry’ album from The Beatles, telling the tale of how he came across the otherworldly discovery.

During a trip to the Del Puerto Canyon in California, James had to stop to let his dog out for a break. After the dog ran off after a rabbit, the man chased his pet and fell over, hitting his head. James woke up in the home of a stranger named Jonas, who lived on the plot near where the man fell, which was previously empty.
It became apparent to James that he was in a parallel universe after he saw that the ketchup was purple, and cassette tapes were more common than the at-the-time familiar CDs. Jonas and James ended up chatting about their love for The Beatles, where the kind host showed off his cassette collection of The Beatles albums that James Richards had never heard of.
On his way out, James ended up stealing the cassette tape of ‘Everyday Chemistry’ and claimed to have brought it back for us to listen to.
While the story is pretty wild for the average person to comprehend, the album itself has received immense praise for its remixing and mashup choices.
Could the ‘Everyday Chemistry’ album be real?
It is highly unlikely that the ‘Everyday Chemistry’ album by The Beatles is a genuine album from a parallel universe. The most likely scenario is that the creator took songs from the Beatles, as well as their solo songs after splitting, and mashed them up, remixing the melodies together to create a fresh sound.
However, it is virtually impossible to debunk or disprove any claims of parallel universes, as their existence or non-existence has not yet been proven. Quantum physics is still in its infancy, with some exciting discoveries being made in recent decades.
Whether real or not, nobody has ever been able to confirm the true identity of James Richards, and the whole story has been shrouded in secrecy. And, for that matter, the album is actually decent, worthy of a listen and to be enjoyed!
