Everton fans, rejoice! A wholesome Christmas market hosted by the Everton Disabled Supporters Association is coming to Liverpool’s Metquarter this Sunday (December 15), bringing local blue-supporting creators into one place. Expect a sense of comradery, plenty of football-themed merch and good vibes all around.
Running from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, December 15 at Metquarter, visitors can find the Everton Disabled Supporters Association Christmas market on the ground floor of the centre. During the day, shoppers will find artwork, mugs, t-shirts, coasters, caps and much more all made by local independent makers. What is more, there will also be an opportunity to purchase an EDSA 30th anniversary pin badge, with all proceeds raised from the sales of the badges going to EDSA.
The Christmas market will host local creatives and businesses like illustrator The Bluedoodler, photographer Laura Gates, Toffee Art, graphic designer Will Goss (@gossart) and Mersey Memorabilia.
Carmel McLoughlin, co-vice chair at Everton Disabled Supporters Association said: “This year, we wanted to do something different for our EDSA Christmas event and highlight the amazing talent of Everton creatives. Sadly, our planned event at St Luke’s church had to be cancelled due to flood damage in the hall. Since hearing about our plight, the team at Metquarter have stepped in and helped us every step of the way. We are sure now, with their assistance, this event will be spectacular for our members and all Evertonians who are looking for special gifts this Christmas.”
Jennina O’Neill, Centre Manager at Metquarter said: “We are delighted to be able to give the Everton Disabled Supporters Association a place to host its Christmas market. There will be some incredible local sellers on the day, and we can’t wait to welcome shoppers into the centre for the pop-up. It’ll be the perfect opportunity for visitors to pick up gifts for all the Evertonians in their lives!”
