Prepare to be bowled over by this bar.
It’s time to look ahead towards summer and leave winter behind. And with a brand new bar coming to Liverpool soon, there is now definitely something to look forward to and put in our diaries and on calendars. Because, let’s face it, they’ve been looking a little blank so far this year.
Liverpool is set to welcome a new bar with axe throwing, shuffleboard, crazy golf and even more fun activities to enjoy post-lockdown. Boom: Battle Bar is due to open its doors in the city next month, inside St Johns Shopping Centre.
The bar, which already has branches in Norwich and Cardiff, and soon Glasgow and London, is heading to Liverpool and will host a number of gaming experiences such as crazier golf, which includes what it says is the country’s longest indoor crazy golf course at over 100ft. There will also be hi tech electric darts, funky beer pong, 22ft shuffleboards, American pool, skee ball, boules, curling, axe throwing, pool, and table tennis, plus other activities such as Boom Ball and Marble Tarble.
The venue is spread across 11,000 square feet, located in the former Poundland store, and will offer a variety of cocktails, craft beers, spirits and a street-food style menu by Icon, which features gourmet burgers, hot dogs, chicken wings, nachos and more. Boom: Battle Bar plans to be open between 10am and 12am from Sunday to Thursday and between 10am and 2am on Friday and Saturday.
Boom: Battle Bar will open its doors from May 21 and plans to host a Boom: Battle Brunch, 80s edition every Saturday from May 22. The event will include plenty of food, 80s tunes from DJ ‘Spinmaster’ and two hours of bottomless drinks. Simply send an email to liverpool@boombattlebar.co.uk to book you and your mates in for an eventful (and boozy) weekend.
The entrance to the venue – which will have a late license until 2am on weekends – will be just off Lime Street. To book your fun-filled visit head to their website here.
