Plus, there will be a special guest.
With the announcement that all lockdown restrictions will be lifted from July 19, it means we can finally sharpen those pencils ready to shout “full house.” And thankfully not from behind a computer screen, because Bongo’s Bingo is back!
The award-winning concept is returning with its first event for over 16 months since the pandemic started with a very special ‘Freedom Day’ show in none other than Liverpool. Hosted by Jonny Bongo, the Monday Madness event will take place on July 19 with prizes up for grabs.
This means every aspect of the original pre-pandemic experience is now finally returning, from confetti cannons and en-masse renditions of Mr Brightside to the raucous rave round, dancing on benches, stage surfing on mobility scooters and big cash prizes. It promises to be a magic and mayhem-filled evening of pure escapism at the Baltic Triangle HQ.
Oh, and there’s even a special guest dropping in too. The legendary Paul Chuckle will be making an appearance at Bongo’s Bingo ‘Freedom Day’ Special as you listen out for those winning numbers.
Taking place at Content on Stanhope Street, it’s more than fitting that the city where Bongo’s Bingo started back in April 2015 is the same place where life returns a bit more back to normal. However, bearing in mind the impact of the pandemic, the Bongo’s Bingo team will be donating £2 from every ticket sold for this special show to the mental health charity, MIND.
This one-off Freedom Day spectacular is all about having fun, leaving all worries at the door and getting the bingo books open and pens ready. But don’t think the fun lasts for one night only, as more Bongo’s Bingo dates and locations are to be announced soon.
It’s time for eyes down with Jonny and the crew. For more information and tickets, check out the Bongo’s Bingo website here.
