A different kind of cabin fever.
A bar in Liverpool is offering a range of comfort food and drinks whilst guest settle down to watch a film in one of their cosy cabins. Birdies Bar and Barbecue, based in the Baltic Triangle at Cains Brewery Village is transforming this weekend to provide the ultimate Halloween experience.
During the day, its cabins can be booked by families with family-friendly films shown such as Coraline and Hocus Pocus and then at night more “creepy classics” like The Exorcist and Texas Chainsaw Massacre will be screened.
Once you’ve put your feet up inside your pre-booked cabin, food will be served from Birdie’s in-house food stall Apocalypse Cow, as well as a range of drinks and treats for guests to enjoy whilst watching the film. Munch on a selection of loaded fries, a Piri Piri meal or one of their tasty burgers, with vegetarian and vegan options available such as a fried seitan or halloumi burger. As you cower away in your cabin you can also sip on some Halloween-themed cocktails like the Blood Sucker, which is a mix of vodka, Cointreau, cranberry, lime and lemonade.
The heated cabins can be booked from today with the event running right up until Sunday 1st November, with the last screening starting at 8pm. The team behind the bar are hoping the event will offer a solution for households to enjoy Halloween, in spite of the Tier 3 restrictions which have been enforced in Liverpool.
Birdies states on their website that walk in’s are available, however they strongly advise to pre-book to avoid disappointment. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the maximum party size is 6 per table and everyone must be from the same household or support bubble. Find out more information here.
The bar is also hosting some Oktoberfest celebrations where you can drink steins and eat bratwurst and pretzels in one of their cosy cabins.
